Wooden Kudu Horn Cores (Inner Horn)
A striking accent piece for coffee tables, mantels, or book shelves, these wonderfully sculptural forms are handmade reproductions of the inner bone core of Kudu (a species of antelope) horns. Carved from Douglas Fir and given a pickled white stain that allows natural characteristics of the wood to peek through, you won't find these anywhere else. I use a water-based polyurethane sealer followed by applications of paste wax for a silky smooth finish. Each horn core measures approximately 25" along the curl (about 21" straight).
